What Happens After You Place an Order at Teknaform™

For many customers, placing an order is the final step. For us, it’s where the real work begins.
Behind every shipment that leaves Teknaform™ is a coordinated process built around accuracy, consistency, and service. From the moment a purchase order is received to the time product is loaded for dispatch, multiple teams work together to ensure every detail is right. This month we look behind-the-scenes at what happens after you place an order.
1. Order Intake
Every order begins with your purchase order, which is entered into our system and assigned a unique Teknaform™ job number. Customer colour codes are linked to internal part numbers to ensure the correct match is selected from the start. Lead times are then scheduled based on production capacity and inventory availability, with special requests reviewed whenever possible.
2. Match Verification
For repeat orders, approved master cards are sent to production lines as the standard reference for manufacturing.
For new items, our Customer Service and Quality Control teams prepare match details in advance, so production starts with the right specifications.
3. Quality Control
Quality checks happen throughout the process—not just at the end. Each order is reviewed before production begins, monitored during the run, and fully inspected before shipping. Retained samples are used to confirm consistency and final approvals are logged in our system.
4. Production
Once approved, the order moves through production where operators continuously monitor quality, finish, and profile. Regular retain samples are collected throughout the run to help ensure consistency from first roll to last.
5. Packaging & Dispatch
Before shipping, our team confirms counts, labels, packaging type, and pallet setup. Customer-specific shipping requirements are built directly into our system, helping every order leave accurately packed and ready to move. Tracking details are then shared by our customer service reps once the shipment is processed. What may look like a simple order confirmation on the outside is supported by multiple teams, systems, and checkpoints behind the scenes.
