Teknaform's Eco-Products Suite Part 2

Last month Teknaform™ announced a suite of new eco-friendly product offerings as part of our continued commitment to provide millworkers, designers and manufacturers with solutions that are both high-performing and sustainable. In this month’s blog post we take a closer look at EcoFlex and BioEdge®, two additional products we are excited to offer our customers that also help reduce the industry’s impact on the environment.

EcoFlex - USDA Certified BioPreferred PVC

Material selection in woodworking goes beyond form and function. Today the environmental impact on material choices is also a consideration. Our EcoFlex - USDA Certified BioPreferred PVC edgebanding provides a sustainable material solution that consists of 25% renewable, non-petroleum-based product. This flexible vinyl offers the same performance and range of colours as our other flexible products but provides an additional option as consumer preference for eco-friendly materials continues to rise.

BioEdge® - Renewably Sourced and Sustainable Plant-Based Edgebanding

An additional product line we are excited to offer our customers is BioEdge®. Made from 85% bio-based, renewable raw materials, BioEdge® is free of PVC, BPAs, Phthalates, Acrylonitrile, and Styrene. It is also VOC-free. Another advantage of being manufactured with 85% renewable resources is that this product also contributes to the reduction of Greenhouse gases.

A great option for high-traffic areas, coupled with its sustainable advantage, makes it a great choice for environmentally-conscious projects within healthcare facilities, educational facilities, etc. Available in solid colors, woodgrains, prints, and the latest designer patterns, BioEdge® runs on standard machinery equipment making the integration to more sustainable solutions, seamless.
